<P><STRONG>Recent changes to the Sydney 38 class rules have been made to include a jib top and asymmetrical spinnaker for races over 20 nm in length.</STRONG></P>
<P>With this pending change in mind, we have spent many hours designing, and on water testing new designs for these sails, resulting in a jib top with plenty of grunt and an asymmetrical spinnaker maximized in area to the class rule, which has plenty of wind range and easy to trim.<BR> <BR>With the 2002 - 2003 Summer racing season now at a close it is timely to mention and congratulate Nigel Holman and his crew on Cuckoos Nest for their efforts during the year.<BR> <BR></P>Their achievements include <BR><BR>CYCA Long ocean point score 1st IMS Overall<BR>CYCA Long ocean point score 3rd IRC<BR>MHYC Gillawa Shield Lops 1st Overall<BR> 1st IMS Overall<BR> 1st IMS Div<BR> 2nd Div IRC<BR> Sydney 38 Absolute Cup 1st Overall</TD>

<TD colSpan=4><BR><STRONG>Ben DeCoster</STRONG> who has worked at Hood Sails in Sydney for five years is off to Sweden to race on the 77 footer "Royal Blue"<BR>Then returning to Sydney to work on the Grand Mistral 80 footer "The Cabinet" (ex Nicorette), which will be doing the Australian Yachting Circuit including the Sydney - Hobart and other major yacht races.<BR></TD></TR></TABLE></P>
